These easy and delicious Garlic Ghee Prawns make the perfect starter for any festive occasion. It is a healthy and simple dish which is bursting with flavour. The ghee gives it a deep and rich flavour with a slight nuttiness and a good zing from the lemon.
Melt the ghee in a skillet over medium heat and stir in the garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds, make sure not to burn the garlic.
Add the prawns to the skillet, season with salt and pepper and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink.
Take the skillet off the heat, stir in the lemon juice and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Notes
Don't overcook the prawns or they will turn rubbery.If you like it very buttery you can add another tablespoon of ghee after you have added the lemon juice or if you like it spicy you could also add in some finely chopped chillies.
