Why you will love Healthy “No-Bake” Banana Oat Bites

Healthy Banana Oat Bites are easy to make and a big hit with young and old alike. They are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and made in less than 15 minutes. You can enjoy them instantly or keep for later, they refrigerate and freeze well.

Why you should always make your own snacks

Do you think that good, homemade and healthy food comes with an exorbitant price tag? I find exactly the opposite, actually. If we roll up our sleeves and make homemade meals and snacks like these Cookie Dough Balls or Healthy Beetroot Macaroons, it costs a whole lot less than buying the pre-made versions. Of course, there is a hefty price difference between healthy food and convenience food but that’s a different topic. I am more than happy to pay a little more knowing that I nourish my body rather than making it sick.

What I actually meant by it is cheaper to make your own healthy snacks becomes quite obvious if you start looking at the price tags of healthy energy balls sold in the supermarkets. On average, they retail at €3.50- €4.50 for 1-3 energy balls, which is almost the total amount of what I paid for the ingredients that went into my Banana Oat Bites recipe. BUT you won’t be getting just 1, or 2, or 3, you will be getting 16 Banana Oat Bites, quite a difference don’t you think?

Not to forget that you have complete control over what goes in and the pride of creating something from scratch! Plus, children are more enticed to eat healthy food if they were involved in the process of making it.
